Yes, yes, I know, I know – a film about love around Valentine’s Day. Don’t really care. I stumbled across the short film on YouTube and it was enough to give me pause. Here’s Jackson Massey and Dylan Shepherd’s Love Unexpected.

Didn’t go where you were expecting it to, huh? I have to admit, I was thinking it would be the female friend, but it was nice to see a gay kid go for it with his crush. I also like that they left off on the ambiguous note – we don’t know if there was a date or a gentle decline after this. I like to think that Aaron got a chance, but that’s the sappy romantic in me.
