So last week’s lack of posts was certainly unexpected. Long and short of it: I moved, and there were issues with getting my internet set up that were not anticipated. Between that and editing a book, I’m sort of beat.

This week, we’re going to look at two different types of fairy tales: Shrek (2001) and Ingrid Goes West (2017). I know that Ingrid doesn’t really seem like fairy tale stuff, but it’s sort of that magical mix of happenstance, cautionary tale and familiar trope we’ve come to expect from our cultural tales. I also hear it’s due to be another scorcher this week, so please stay cool!
