Summer is coming to a close. Oh summer – we hardly knew ye. Seriously, it feels like it popped in and out. It’s been a bit of a roller coaster this summer.

Speaking of roller coasters… we’re going on one this week. First up is a look at big wigs having hissy fits in Citizen Kane (1941). Next is a recommendation for National Lampoon’s Vacation (1983), because we somehow have never covered that one in the three and a half years that this site has been in operation. On Friday, we’ll be kicking off Labor Day weekend right with an installment of Hail to the King. This month, it’s Dan vs. The Dark Half in both print and celluloid. So strap on your fanny packs, double up on that sunscreen, and get ready to motor.
