I’ll cut to the chase: I watched It, which is fucking incredible and so scary, and I need something happy right now. Here’s Pixar’s Partly Cloudy, which is second only to my beloved Presto from the Pixar stable.

I love this short so much. The physical comedy is a plus, but really, the themes are what really pack the punch here. I can identify with that dark cloud. Sometimes, you don’t get to do the cute stuff everyone else does – sometimes, you have to roll your sleeves up and get the job done for everyone else, and sometimes that job description isn’t so sexy. It means that you have to look at what someone else is doing and see how it’s somehow more appealing to the majority. That can be tough sometimes; it’s hard not to compare when you feel left out. However, if you have the right people by you, they’ll stick with you, even if it’s not glamorous. And those are the ones you want with you no matter what. It’s sweet, it’s uplifting, and if you’re lucky, it’s who you are.
