Weren’t expecting that, were you?

I freely admit to laughing my ass off at this. The kicker is that it starts out as a legit horror movie, and a decent one at that. I mean, think about that creepy concept: have you ever heard something weird over a baby monitor before? I have, and it’s scary as all hell (that’s a story for another day). It’s unsettling and peppy in its pace. That it then goes from a nightmare repeating itself to a completely madcap ending… that’s fucking brilliant. Absolutely brilliant in that in turns on a dime, man. I have not laughed that hard in a while. The best is the double tap at the end. It was so unexpected, and it caused me to let forth a fresh peel of laughter.
